Ask HN: Thoughts on Appsumo?

Past 2 months, I've gathered good feedbacks on our MVP and now I am working on the update.

Thinking of launching the update on Appsumo to get some acceleration at first.

Read some success stories but still there are hundreds of products with 0 sales on Appsumo.

Any thoughts from people that tried launching on it or experience would be great
