Honestly, if you were there and you witnessed the hinterlands falling one by one to the Taleban in quick succession, that was the time to settle your accounts and high tail it out of there -anon.
If you put things off and waited after seeing that happen, it's on you. Leave everything, except the truly essential (your charge, spouse and IDs, anything else leave or burn if it implicates you in any way with anything).
