Did you know that Wernher von Braun wrote a novel called "Project Mars: A Technical Tale" [0] in which the title for the leader of the Martians was "Elon"?
So when you read something like "Elon for Elon" somewhere, you can rather understand it as "Elon for [martian] president" than just as a gag (even though most people would just not know, so maybe it has already turned into only a gag by now).
