What's with the rant about github? Was the intent of the article to show potential clients your technical knowledge or a soap box to air personal opinion?

One is allowed to do both. Human beings are allowed to have opinions and not be walking LinkedIn profiles all day long.

This seems like a lot to couple your app to.

I wonder what the long term maintenance would be like. In 10 years will all the technology underpinning this still be active?

Migrating from Tauri to another webviewer shouldn't be too difficult.

Typescript can be compiled to maintainable javascript, so in the worst case you could just take that downgrade.
