I don't fucking care if it doesn't work on Safari. I'm tired of Apple dragging the entire ecosystem down just so that they could have their 30% cut.
When enough developers start developing with that mindset, perhaps potential buyers' first association to the iPhone will be "that phone on which most websites don't work."
The app lockin ecosystem is an economic and social barrier. It is a designed system to create haves and have nots
Using IPhone and Android optimized websites, locks everyone out. Everyone who isn't privileged enough to be able to be in the artificial walked garden crashed by apple.
TLDR - the iPhone is a really powerful mobile device. Lots of people have smartphones without that much processing power.
