ControlD is similar to NextDNS in many ways, but has a distinctive difference - it hooks into a network of transparent proxy servers and allows not just blocking, but also unblocking of all kinds of geo-restricted content. We're also working on global ECH support, which we hope to release in a month or 2. This will effectively make it a "light VPN", for HTTP traffic, provided you use a browser that supports ECH.
We entered open beta 2 days ago, after being in closed beta for about 5 months with ~2000 users.
