Ask HN: Spain - Working as a EU citizen with a criminal record

I am EU-member citizen with a criminal record in my home country looking to get a job and/or relocate to Spain.

I just served 5 years for manslaughter which I did 15 years ago and got released on parole recently. I can travel abroad.

I have 12+ years of experience with adequate skills, certification and recommendations. I am fluent in both Spanish and English. I am up-to-date with recent technologies as I did IT work while serving the sentence.

1) What are my chances of getting a good job on-site ? Remote ? 2) Should/Can I conceal my conviction from employers ?
