It's very hard to create a persona, if you use stock photos or steal them, then they are traceable.
Synthetic Content solves this problem, although I've yet to see anyone using the same 'synthetic' person in multiple shots.
I'm not even sure any of the bad actors are generating their own people? Maybe they all from thispersondoesnotexist?
No one is faking 'synthetic' video/audio or propaganda pictures yet. They are to easy to disprove and hard to make. This is an army of foot soldiers swarming researchers and defence AI, not precision bombing.
