I've generally sided with Balaji in his feud with the NYTimes, but that's a pretty damning thing to say. Even more concerning now that a16z has its own media organization and is basically trying to cut out existing media like the NYTimes.

It is and I can believe him saying that, but then so many things in that article are misrepresented and the hate by now for Balaji by the NYT big enough that I wouldn't be surprised if with context the next sentence is 'Of course, I actually wouldn't wish that even on my enemies' or something.

I'm increasingly of the opinion that Balaji deserves the NYT almost as much as the NYT deserves Balaji.
