I'd do the same thing, since I wouldn't want him to dump my computer after realizing he's being tracked from tips sent to his GMail account by random internet folks.
Sure, we have his photograph, but we can't contact the guy nor do we know his identity... only very few people would know that and hopefully they mean well.
