Yesterday in the Java thread I mentioned having done some Java 1.4 stuff in 2016.

The customer was running Red-Hat Enterprise 5.0, and it was going to stay that way as long as Red-Hat would be willing to support it.

Making the migration when RH stop supporting it extremely complex and expensive, instead of iterating.
