The most important feature for me is being able to use the iOS share function and quickly add something with tags (and tag auto-complete). It would have been nice to test that ahead of the in-app purchasing but decided to go for it. Happy that all works well. Great work.
Though I’d probably be more interested in how the Mac app works unless Pins also gets Pushpin’s feature of showing you how many times you’ve used tags during auto complete.
The Mac app is based on Catalyst and 99% feature equivalent to the iOS version. More options to view how tags are used in your account is coming in later versions.
Share extension comes with tag suggestion and tag autocompletion, so give it a try.
Full disclosure: I’m the creator of Pushpin…and yes I feel guilty about how long it’s taken me to make improvements.
Your client looks fantastic, awesome job!
Pushpin has been the gold standard for me since I got it years ago.
I have yet to see any other browser extension, mobile, or desktop app tell me how many times I’ve used a tag when entering them. I absolutely adore that feature. Also offline archive support. Not sure if any one else provides that either.
I'm a Pushpin user as well. Love how feature packed the app is.
Also one amazing feature Pushpin has I haven’t seen elsewhere is they also tell you how many times you have used a tag during auto complete. If this could be available cross platform, it would be amazing.
Paying is not a problem.
I added that so less savvy users can still log in easily without having to hunt for the token.
The dev responded really quickly:
> "I’m not sure why but it looks like pasting a token on both Safari and Focus change part of the token to be lowercase and I wasn’t properly handling the different case."
Not sure if this the problem here too?
I would still like a handful of features spread between Spillo and especially/mainly Pushpin, which is the gold standard for me. Just like with Pushpin, I’ll pay for a solid Pinboard app just to support it. Hopefully you continue updating!
I know SaaS for software like apps is frowned upon here, but I’d be cool paying $10-25 a year (when paying annually) for a solid Pinboard app across iOS and Mac.
