VSCO iOS app is crippled due to new privacy setting (opens in new tab)

Tested a few different ways on a few different devices and the “issue” is consistently the same: if you simply share one image at a time — the image that you’re editing — VSCO app is simply unusable, VSCO insists that I needs permissions to your full gallery of images to function.

Similar ‘editing exercises’ could be done on multiple other iOS photo editor apps, with a single photo permission with no issues.

This issue exists even the latest update that came overnight.

There really ought to be law that forces companies to divulge what personal information they collect from you, what they use it for, and who has access to it. And this needs to be in a some type of standardized readable form that is separate from the TOS. If they can't do that, they should not be allowed any access to it.
