Ask HN: Feels like the Klondike has all the gold been dug out of tech?

It feels like it’s really hard to come up with something big.

Am I wrong? Am I just feeling pessimistic?

Are there really still loads of yet to be done ideas that will be very successful?

Or is the gold dug out and most of the successful idea niches now taken?

What are some good ideas that have been seen and released in recent years that would prove that there’s still a wealth of opportunity out there?
