Yep. Wife works for one of the big banks. They stopped taking applications for personal lines of credit this week. Stopped taking HELOC applications a couple of weeks ago.

I was able to get an unsecured loan with a low interest rate for a classic car within a few hours after I applied.

Wouldn't the parameters for a car loan be wildly different than for a home loan or for a personal line of credit that's unsecured?

I don’t know, just throwing in my anecdote that it was really easy for me to get unsecured credit last week.

USBank was pushing these pretty heavily last week (the offer was only supposed go through end of April but they had extended it)
