Perhaps, and a logical enough explanation.
I had a wild hope that maybe Google was sick of their reputation for killing all the things, and they wanted to start the process of eschewing that reputation by hiring this guy to shine a light as to when they were relapsing into their bad ways.
I can dream I guess.
