This is horrific. It looks like you don't have a team which is self regulating, autonomous and where team members support each other. You've got a military style command and control structure where subordinates report to their commanding officer/manager. It is everyone for themselves.

You've got far bigger problems than stand ups. There is no trust and people are treated like children.
