iunno, listening to the whole team and knowing what people are working on was wildly helpful when I was a junior. Mentoring is important but so is knowing how the team actually tackles the problems.
Especially for juniors who are worried about seeming dumb when they have a blocker/problem. Having that space to hear Seniors say they're stuck makes em talk more.
I'm a consultant so I get to see all the wide wide varieties of standups and the short sweet ones just make things hum so much nicer than a 30 minute morning meeting.
