But as someone with two kids living in San Francisco I think it's actually a great city for kids. The city spends extravagantly on parks, libraries, and youth programs.[1] The homeless and drug addict situations are very problematic, but mostly concentrated outside the neighborhoods (rich and poor) where families are more common. That said, there are quite alot of kids in the Tenderloin, where homelessness and drug use are endemic, than one would think.
