Is the New GSuite Gmail Interface an EPIC Business Risk?

While looking at my email on my iPhone I noticed an import email that I had not noticed on my PC all day. I tend to live in my email to some degree so I found it very surprising. When I arrived back at my computer I went looking for the email in my inbox. Initially I could not find the email. I eventually found it in the "Forums" category.

The gmail app had decided this important email was a forum post? Had this email have been a contract notification and I had not noticed the email on my iPhone then there could be serious financial implications.

I tried everything to find a way to prevent the filtering. It seems like I can not prevent the filtering? It would filter even if those folders are hidden leading to the email being hidden also? I am now forced to monitor more inboxes with other names?

Google GSuite Gmail is now _enforcing_ filtering into folders on your email????

This seems like an epic risk to me?

Has anyone else experienced this?

I do not really want to go explain to my boss why we have to move and then change the whole company to some other service.
