Just a consideration: Isn't it at least somewhat plausible that some products attract people who are satisfied more easily and thus write good reviews? In this scenario, lots of these reviews might be honest, but nevertheless not helpful to you, since the good review only implies that you will be satisfied if you are of a similar demographic.
