Where to find a copywriter, 37signals' style?

Hello. I am building a website and I need help with the text. English is not my first language.

My focus is not to optimize the website for search engines or produce loads of crap content. I just want to explain what my company does in a simple, clear way. Like 37signals, wufoo, carbonmade, and some (not many) others.

I have searched Odesk et al. but it seems to me that most of the freelance copywriters are in the SEO field and think more about Google than the reader.

I don't have loads of money to spend in a big agency. I'm looking for a freelance who can do simple, clear text. Where should I look for it?
