Honestly, I bet they'll do a chat system next to try and replace Slack. One that comes with a @gitlabot which triggers CI/CD using DMs and hashtags.

Wow I completely forgot about that! When is it too much? Personally, I like tools that do one thing well. But to each their own.

Mattermost is already integrated. It comes disabled by default, and it's not very easy to configure, but it's there already.
