That was never "the whole point" of Ask HN posts. The standard is, and had been for years, to just post your question in the submission. That being said - I don't see anything in the guidelines addressing that.

I tried to paste all the content in but it exceeds 2000 characters, I thought providing my experience might help generate more discussion.

Does it make more sense to paste the link into the body of the text and just ask the question?
