Why are these report not affecting ubers bottom line?

It seems people are complaining a lot but at the end of the day still using über because what? Cheap rides forgives everything? Social anxiety??

I don't give a shit about anything except cheap rides. Google is anyway tracking my every single phone activity and more. If I cared about it, I'd use a nokia 3310. Since I am using a smartphone, might as well get the cheapest ride.

I can't speak for others but I stopped using it and will never go back. (I also know from others who don't use it anymore and try to convince people to do the same.)

I don't use Uber anymore. However I don't think Lyft is that innocent. They probably don't get as much news coverage but I wouldn't be surprised if they buy unroll.me emails and scan for Uber receipts.

Tracking and analytics is a giant orgy. Everyone shares with everyone.

Why should users be concerned about this? The real issue here is that Apple removed the UDID API, so developers now have great difficulty identifying persistent abusers/trolls.

In terms of things to be concerned about regarding Uber, this one is pretty far down the list...

Yeah, what they are doing seems the logical way to combat the abuse that they were seeing. I don't really understand how them being able to tell I am using the same device affects the majority of users at all
