Life is tasty and scarce, the rest is lifeless and abundant, and according to universal laws of supply and demand, that which is scarce (life) is more expensive and in higher demand, for whatever reasons unknown to us, yet.
Saying that we're special doesn't make it true. There's no conceivable reason why anything we have now or will have in the foreseeable future would be worth traveling multiple light years to anyone. Perhaps if an attacker could remotely hypnotize us into spending our own resources to send it other resources, that might make us viable prey?
