Right. I'm saying I don't know if "many small companies could not afford to provide health insurance..." is accurate. I don't know how we're defining small companies (if they're under 25 full time employees, the mandates don't apply). I don't know how we're defining "couldn't afford to." What effects count? Are we saying that the rate of businesses going out of business has increased? Etc., etc.
Once there's some data, we can have the perhaps more interesting question of whether or not it's worth it. No question but that increasing the number of people with health insurance costs money and that has to have some effect.
