Ask HN: Is Xamarin.Forms ready for primetime yet?

I've played with the Xamarin samples and build a really simple app about 12 months ago. I found then that the app felt slow. This is obviously an abstraction layer and there are performance penalties involved there, but is Xam.Forms ready for use in commercial apps?

I found the framework to be a little bit buggy then, is that still true now? Has the speed improved? Is there anything obviously missing?
