I'd like something that doesn't show apps when they are brand new, but features ones that stand the test of (a little bit of) time and have proven useful beyond the initial launch phase.

Maybe it's just me getting older...

Seriously, there are several sites that review apps, actually way too many of them.

One I've found myself using a few times is StackShare - http://stackshare.io/ . It's lacking ot the "review" side though.
