I could barely restrain my excitement when I first saw the green-screen scrolling visuals in the Matrix, especially the scene at the end where Neo looks underneath the surface of the world. It was the first time Hollywood's cinematic license had created something that looked the way my internal experience felt, and that was a powerful moment after years of eye-rollingly ridiculous movie computer cheese.
